Haha true. Ok, were you happy with the response you got from modern love?
I got alot of negative responses. I don't think some people understood what I was going for. But we hit the jackpot in Japan. Over 10,000 copies sold!

Why the fuck didn't you make more copies considering they sold so well?
I didn't make more copies because it was getting too in demand.

Well isn't that the reason to make more copies? Cause there is a greater demand?
For most people, yes.

What have you been up to since Modern Love came out?
I moved out of the Chatwo. Was homeless for a bit. Had a few jobs. Fired from them all. Broke a few hearts. And filmed a bit in between.

So your making a new video, tell me about it?
It's a 2 disc collectors edition box set. Disc 1 has the newest release "Supper's Ready" starring Travis Stenger, Mitch Charron, Rod Ferens, Kyle Robinson, Wade Fyfe, Dylan Thorstensen, Nathan Evans, Mike Vince, Joey Williams and Mike McDermott. Disc two is titled "The Green Apple Family Tree" and consists of "Bad Girls - 1994, "Daydream" - 1995, "Blue Green" - 1997, "Street Magic" - 2000, "Modern Love" – 2005. And a whole wack of bonus material.

Can I just say I can't believe you ollied the black double.
Dude, me neither. Rod and I were just pushin around. I didn't even have my VX with me, but I had my digi cam, so I got Rod to snap the flick. Scariest thing I've ever experienced.



Modern Love had a very extensive music selection. How will you go about choosing the music for Supper's Ready?
I have to one up myself. I'm either gonna be loved or hated after it comes out. I hope everyone likes early Ministry! Oh and McD's skating to Young Jeezy.

The new video has an interesting name. How did you come up with it?
It's the name of a 23 minute Genesis song from the "Foxtrot" album. It also has a deeper meaning. If you don't get it, you never will.

Come on Ry, lets be honest here. Are you actually going to be able to stand making another video?
I doubt it. But it's the only thing I know how to do. So I'm just going for it. This is my last skate video. I'm moving on to the wonderful world of film.

I heard Rod Ferens wasn't going to have a part in this video but you listed his name. What's the deal?
Time will tell. Rod's sittin on some footage that will make you curl up in the corner and question your existence. He's settling down now. Getting married. So we'll see how it goes.



Are you guys going on any trips to film for this or trying to film it all at the plaza?
Haha. Ya we're gonna be traveling around the world this summer. Absolutely no plaza footage! Guaranteed.

I've seen quite abit of good shit coming out of Peg from some unknown youngsters. Are any of them going to be making appearances?
I hope so. These kids just came out with a vid called "Bunkins 3". Pretty funny. I'm hoping to get my hands on some Chris Rossong footage, as well as Penguin and Aaron Bukowski...I mean...Charles Rosenblatt. But overall Winnipeg is a shitcake of broken dreams.
